O'Neal Industries, Inc. Machinist 2nd Shift in Hebron, Kentucky

Description

Job Duties:

  • Program multiple different geometrically complex parts at various machining centers.

  • Analyze drawings, solid models, and/or sketches to determine type and sequence of machine operations.

  • Determine proper tooling selection for each part considering speeds, feeds, machine limitations.

  • Work closely with junior machinists to set expectations and further develop their skills at a high level.

  • Work closely with the CMM inspection lab; have an in-depth knowledge of metrology and GD&T.

Required Skills:

  • Effectively communicate with interdisciplinary departments of the company daily.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints accurately.

  • Understanding of basic arithmetic and trigonometry.

  • High level of organization and self-discipline.

  • Ability to manually measure parts on and off a machining center.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a high mix, low volume machine shop focused on the aerospace and defense industries.

  • Familiar with working in a low volume, high mix manufacturing facility.
