O'Neal Industries, Inc. Aerospace TIG Welder 1st Shift in Hebron, Kentucky

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project

  • Sourcing the materials to be used in the project

  • Measuring and cutting materials to specifications

  • Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together

  • Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

  • Able to pass various welding certification tests

  • Works with conventional and precision measuring instruments

  • Performs process inspection, certification, and documentation

  • Maintains welding equipment through maintenance activities

Grinding and Finishing:

  • Skilled at grinding

  • Finishes product through us of various manual and power grinding tools

  • Performs routine maintenance on grinding equipment

Preferred and Required Qualification:

Education:

Preferred - High School / GED

Job Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess the practical / technical knowledge required to perform the job

  • Basic math ability and understanding of mechanical principles used in sheet

  • metal fabrication
