Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contract - Quoting

  • Assists in analysis and work up of contract bids or opportunities.

  • Builds pricing models

  • Responsible for updating model inputs: mill base cost, monthly surcharge, mill discounts, etc.

  • Understands Coil, sheet, shear, laser and water jet processes.

  • Run all opportunities thru ROC/Turns calculator.

  • Accounts for and understands all costs associated to pricing opportunities.

  • Adjusts pricing per feedback that meets our ROC requirements.

  • Ability to use nickel hedge agreements and/or escalator/de-escalators when necessary.

  • Maintain customer request, mill support, workup and award in one file.

  • Any proposals that do not meet the ROC requirements must have executive management approval.

Contract – Sales Analysis

  • Develop a standardized contract review process, which includes

  • Contract approval template (similar to existing ROC hurdle doc)

  • Contract review dashboard in Qlikview/PowerBi

  • Catalog of ROC’s for existing contracts.

  • Schedules and facilitates program/contract review of major account customers with sales and contract management rep from supply chain. (lead analysis, facilitate)

  • Provide template/framework help and guidance to contract management group to assist in bidding process.

Market Analysis (Situational priority or spare time)

  • Researches the competition and summarizes as input into strategic development process.

  • Researches key suppliers and summarizes intelligence from shareholder meetings, press, etc.

Strategy

  • Performs detailed analysis, to select managers, of company data to recommend courses of action.

  • Facilitates cross functional actions (with SC/Product Managers) regarding program/contract inventory forecast usage and modifications.

  • Recognizes trends and looks for opportunities to enhance material utilization.

Facilitated Processes

  • Contract review of major account customers with Contract Sales and Supply Chain (ROC and performance)

  • GMROI-Ageing (Pricing/Inventory) with Supply Chain

  • Pricing Review with Sales, Product Management, and Supply Chain (transactional)

  • Monthly and Quarterly Internal and External reviews on agreement.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years related experience working in contract administration or supply chain. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Experience in supporting or managing a small business environment

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office software and Employer Resource Planning tools

  • Familiar with office and warehouse environments
