Description

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To: Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program. Leads the Inside Sales Team and is directly engaged in daily support of all branch program and transactional accounts. Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories and goals. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales. Recommends budget, expenditures, and appropriations. Works with branch operations team to ensure that customer service and response levels meet or exceed expectations.

Desirable Skills, Abilities and Education: Undergraduate degree, preferably in business administration or related area, and/or 5 years metals industry sales experience. General business knowledge and sales skills are required. Must be proficient in developing interpersonal relationships. Ability to communicate effectively is a must for this position. Ability to read, write, and fluently speak the English language. Ability to read and comprehend concepts of moderate to high difficulty and ability to communicate responses and actions related to these concepts. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to freely determine ratios. The ability to generate graphic representations of data is required. Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word). Ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware). Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
